OPT4 Group, Doylestown was proud to be part of construction of Reading’s first green building, Berks County Community Foundation.
“It feels great to be part of such an amazing project,” said Andrew Seabrook, Vice President of OPT4 Group. “This building is the first of its kind in the area. The foundation has gone to great lengths to ‘go green’ from installing a large cistern reducing their public water usage by 85% to a ban on water bottles at the facility. OPT4 Group was able to provide them with our products and services working within their parameters and save them money.” Upon arrival guests are greeted with informational screens and facility music. A board room and training room complete with state-of-art audio visual equipment is available for community use. In addition to these, OPT4 Group was involved from the earliest construction stage installing the data and voice wiring and a technologically advanced telephone system. Consolidation of phone carriers and their VoIP telephone system will save the foundation approximately $8,000 per year and has a built-in disaster recovery.
The Berks County Community Foundation manages over 350 funds each with specific purpose, but all focused on improving and maintaining the quality of life in the community. To learn more about the foundation and their green facility visit them at www.bccf.org.
